Janet Jackson’s 32-city “Unbreakable World Tour” will hit Las Vegas for two nights in October. The superstar singer starts her journey with stops in Vancouver, B.C., beginning Aug. 31 and wraps in Honolulu on Nov. 12.
Early today, Janet — Miss Jackson, if you’re “Nasty” — shared a behind-the-scenes video of dancers in Los Angeles auditioning to be on the show. The singer-songwriter and actress will play the Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez Axis at Planet Hollywood on Oct. 9 and 10, with tickets on sale as of this morning at 10.
Janet also broke the news of her own new record label, Rhythm Nation, in partnership with the international Bertelsmann Music Group and her new album, the first in seven years, to be released this fall.
Her third album, “Control” in 1986, propelled her to international stardom as a worldwide pop-culture icon. When she signed the first of two record-breaking, multimillion-dollar contracts with Virgin Records in 1991, she became one of the highest-paid artists in the industry.
